June 12th--Blue Jean Sunday, which is actually after the carpet installation is complete—dusting,
vacuuming, and window washing will be on the agenda—mark your calendars! Landscaping Day is
suggested to help Barb Hruska and her efforts—date not set yet. We are experiencing a 30-35%
increase in attendance at church Bi-lingual Service will go back to 11:00 a.m., as expressed interest by
attendees

Wednesday evening services will begin after the first weekend in June at 7 p.m.    for the summer--after
6:15 brats &        chips supper is served

Corey Kirch made some changes to the background of our website & has added Wi-Fi service to
church with a secured access.

Directory Pictures begin in September—mark your calendars!

Anniversary Team needs members to share the responsibilities of publicity, food, celebration, &
October groundbreaking ceremony—help volunteer or make recommendations!

PJ suggested we build a playhouse in recognition of our anniversary & donate it to the Freedom House
as a nice gesture and start of their new homelife!

Anniversary Mugs were suggested as celebrative items, but also as utilitarian items to be used at
church in order to alleviate coffee spilling on the new carpeting

HJ Martin will help plan a maintenance routine for the new carpeting

A plan is to strip & wax the fellowship hall—and do it ourselves to make it affordable

$121.60 will be ADR distribution this month/$608 is the undesignated amount for U2S offerings, an
additional $115 was designated for various U2S items

U2S has a balance of $772.92 at present

$1511.64 was distributed this past month, half of which went to the church budget again, in order to
meet expenses.

Dumpster ordered for carpet removal—Gladys has been scheduling many work projects.

We can start with removal of the carpet in the library & in the 7 + 8 grade classrooms & removal of the
mopboards after
May 22nd—so come any time and help out!

Proposal was made to have a “Recycling Sale” in August in conjunction with block party & Bike Rally--
idea is to have a co-chair from the Hispanic Service members as well.  The plan is to make all items
very affordable and so that items are actually all recycled.

Painters & movers are needed for painting church offices--also a heavy-duty dolly to empty the contents,
some of which are quite heavy and cumbersome.

Recommendation is to pass a clipboard around during our church services to increase the awareness
and need for helpers for these work projects.

Sara Helgerson is planning our Bible School for August

$250 is recommended to help youths' mission trip for this summer

With all the Govt. cuts, our schools may be facing some difficult times and they may see an increase in
their needs that we as a congregation can address, by providing people resources--in particular to
Preble, Danz, Edison, & Martin schools—Keep your minds and hearts open to helping.

Suggestion was made for U2S to consider a monthly donation for the “Hope Lives” organization, which
allows individuals to adopt a child in a third world country--$38 per month—written contacts would be
encouraged with the child.  More information will be coming from Randy Reeves.

In Attendance:  Gladys Nickodem, Sharon Schneider, Corey Kirch, Marilyn Rabideau, Randy Reeves,
